In collaboration with our University, the Eskişehir Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services organized a “Respectful Living and Safe Relationships” training session for our students.

The training program was attended by Dilek ÇAMURSOY, Deputy Director of the Eskişehir Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services; Prof. Dr. Fesun KOŞMAK, Advisor to the Rector; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pınar DURU and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Semra EYİ, Vice Deans of the Faculty of Health Sciences.

The training was delivered by Social Workers Beyza KARADENİZ ŞEKER and Hande ÜNER, who work at the Eskişehir Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services. The training aimed to increase students’ knowledge and awareness of violence against women and digital violence, promote safe and respectful relationships, and provide students with information about mechanisms for combating violence.

The training also focused on enabling students to recognize different forms of violence, identify situations involving violence and risk, protect themselves in digital environments, and access appropriate support mechanisms when needed. The training contributed to enhancing our students’ awareness of preventing violence, recognizing violence at an early stage, and referring individuals to appropriate support mechanisms.

As the Faculty of Health Sciences, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Eskişehir Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services for its valuable contribution and support and to Social Workers Beyza KARADENİZ ŞEKER and Hande ÜNER for delivering the training, which contributes to strengthening our students’ social awareness, understanding of human rights, awareness of safe relationships, and commitment to preventing violence, in addition to their professional knowledge and skills.
